| The yellow hotspots
are a record of my travels in Egypt. My home base is in Cairo. The visit
to Dahab in the Sinai Peninsula on the Gulf of Aqaba was a 600 mile road
trip. Visits to Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel were by plane. Trips to Siwa
and Farafra were by train and bus. An exhibition titled, "Eqyptian
Deserts" will be produced as the highlight of my visit to Eqypt and
was achieved by hiring guides with 4-wheel drive vehicles to drop me in
various places in the Western Desert (the Great Sand Sea, the White Desert,
the Black Desert, etc.) to hike through magical landscapes for hours photographing
the dunes and rock formations. |
